Install the Backblaze Backup client on a Residential machine

 

We use Backblaze for all residential backup services.. All billing goes through Backblaze directly so you will need the client's credit card. At the time of writing this article, backblaze costs $70 / year for unlimited storage space.
To set up the backup software:
  1. Visit this link to set up the software on the client's machine: https://www.backblaze.com/cloud-backup.html#af9p9p
    make sure to use this link to set up the account, it is our affiliate link.
  2. Once you set up the account and credit card information the client software will download.
  3. Install the software and it should start backing up everything automatically. You can review the exclusions in the program if the customer does not want to back up specific folders, otherwise you shouldn't have to specify anything
